Liturgical Ministries

We believe in the active participation of the laity in our liturgical worship, and encourage those willing to serve in a variety of ministries. 

Art and Environment

Takes responsibility for preparing our worship space according to the various seasons and feasts celebrated within the liturgical year.

Eucharistic Ministers

Distribute the Body and Blood of Christ at Communion, usually under both forms.

Greeters

Accept the primary responsibility for welcoming all who join us in the celebration of our weekend liturgies.  They also coordinate the gathering and presentation of gift at the Offertory.

Lectors

Provide heartfelt proclamation of the Word of God using the Biblical readings of the day.

Linens

Individuals work to keep altar linens freshly cleaned and pressed as a way of enhancing the dignity of our parish liturgies.

Music

Enhances all Masses celebrated in the parish, particularly on weekends.  Individuals may participate in any of the weekend choirs.  Anyone with a desire to sing or play a musical instrument is welcome.  Individual members of the choir may also serve as cantors on occasion, prayerfully leading the psalm response between readings.

Servers

Provide assistance for the priest-presider at various points throughout both the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist.  This ministry is open to both adults and children.  Boys and girls in fourth grade or older who have received the sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist are eligible.
